《Hanji Pavilion》 Exhibition at Maison&Objet in Paris

From September 10 to 14, 2026, SWNA presented a collection of Hanji furniture at the special Hanji Pavilion exhibition during Maison&Objet in Paris, France.
The collection explores the distinctive material qualities of Hanji, including its flexibility, translucency, and delicate texture, reinterpreting them through a contemporary design language. By combining Hanji with solid materials such as metal and stone, or shaping it along wire structures, the designs investigate the tension and sculptural balance created by contrasting material properties.
Through these explorations, SWNA presented four furniture and lighting objects, including lighting, a partition, and a storage cabinet, demonstrating the potential of traditional Korean paper to evolve into new structures and forms within contemporary spaces and objects.
