《Seoul Life: Soban》 Exhibition at ADI Design Museum in Milan

SWNA designer Seokwoo Lee presented a contemporary reinterpretation of the "soban", a traditional Korean low dining table that embodies the lifestyle and sensibility of Korea. Drawing on the spirit of our ancestors, who maintained a sense of humor and versatility even within strict formal conventions, Lee transformed the traditional dog-leg structure into “cat legs,” as if the table were walking across the curves of a tiled roof. Departing from the static forms typically associated with traditional furniture, this exhibition proposes a distinctive contemporary "soban" that captures a sense of dynamic movement and visual playfulness.
