Sulhwa Cultural Exhibition Directing
October 2012
SWNA served as the exhibition director for the Amore Museum, overseeing the conceptual direction, installation design, video production, and graphic elements. The exhibition reinterpreted traditional craftsmanship with a modern aesthetic, utilizing bold colors, simple proportions, and contemporary typography. Collaborations with fashion photographers and stylists reimagined traditional artisans as contemporary creators. Interactive features allowed visitors to engage with the exhibition; for example, sensors triggered videos and sound effects that conveyed the metaphorical essence of onggi (traditional Korean pottery) when visitors stood in front of the pieces.
