The Haier Air Conditioner project was an advanced strategic design project to propose new architectures and research new form factors that could stand out against existing air conditioners. In particular, SWNA considered the user environments for wall-mounted air conditioners and standard floor-standing air conditioners in its designs. Inspired by the distinct characteristics of air and the movement of wind, SWNA transformed Haier’s highly utilitarian air conditioner into an interior “objet” that feels much warmer and more aesthetically pleasing in everyday spaces.Unfortunately, the specific details pertaining to this project are confidential.
