Designed to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Busan International Film Festival, the trophy embodies the city’s passion and the purity of art, drawing inspiration from the metaphors of the heart and water. The form of the heart is expressed through fluid, organic curves, while the clarity of water is captured in polished metal, uniting the two elements in a single sculptural language. It reflects the purity of art that illuminates the world through cinema, and the enduring vitality of artists who keep creation alive.
SWNA reinterpreted the artistic vision of director Apichatpong Weerasethakul through the lens of industrial design, achieving a balance between expressive artistry and purposeful production. Developed alongside the festival’s new competition section, the trophy will remain a lasting emblem of the Busan International Film Festival.
