This project is a collection of light fixture designs that were influenced by simple metal folding or bending production techniques. The effect was maximized by using the fewest materials and processing steps possible due to financial limitations at the time.
Instead of making the steel plate in three dimensions, it was thought that it would be more efficient to bend or machine it. Initially, two-dimensional machining techniques were used to test small pieces of paper to investigate this concept. The actual scale model created based on these experiments closely resembled the final product.
