Chimney Light for Matter & Matter

The Chimney Lighting, the second lighting design from Matter & Matter, is inspired by the form of smoke rising from a chimney. This lamp is made with stretchable Lycra fabric and precisely CNC-machined wood, allowing it to gently diffuse warm light through the fabric. A leather strap on the back emphasizes an analog aesthetic, while the wooden handle is designed to resemble a simplified chimney shape. The hole in the handle allows it to be securely hung from a ceiling cord or used in various ways.
This piece was exhibited and sold at Maison & Objet in France in 2014.
