The leg design of the Leg Series has significantly influenced the forms and proportions in Matter & Matter’s first collection. The exterior of the legs is rounded, while the interior edges are angular, creating a soft yet refined and sturdy appearance. These legs feature a volumetric, structured design paired with a low backrest, each element carefully crafted to be ergonomically rounded for comfort. Made from upcycled wood reclaimed from old Indonesian homes, which retain traces of previous use.
The armchair has a lower overall height and extended seat for serving as a lounge chair, while the backrest angle and base curvature are designed to accommodate various seating preferences.
The rectangular table features rounded top corners and was designed as a dining table for six people. The angular exterior surfaces of the four legs and contrasting interior curves give it a unique feel.
