SWNA curated an exhibition showcasing its design journey across diverse fields, including industrial design, furniture, objects, space, and environments, from 2010 to 2020. Highlighting experimental approaches across materials and media, the exhibition also featured a collection of ten chairs crafted by SWNA designers, reflecting their unique perspectives and philosophies.
Each exhibited object was designed within specific contexts, carefully observing the interaction between users and environments. For instance, a coffee cup transcends its functional role by being redefined through its connections to the coffee, the user, and the atmosphere.
Creative processes at SWNA often begin with analog techniques such as sketching, writing, or crafting. Particularly, the tactile process of "making" fosters flexible thinking and inspires innovative outcomes. This playful experimentation has become a routine driving creativity.
The '10 chairs' celebrate individual designers’ creativity while maintaining thematic and material coherence, inviting viewers to compare and explore the varied approaches and expressions of SWNA’s designers.
