For the "Record" exhibition at Culture Station Seoul 284, sculptures were designed to store records and objects that evoke the rhythm of music.
Six unique objects were created by transforming 2D patterns into 3D forms through the repetition of rhythm. Color MDF, a cost-effective and easily processed material, was utilized. Simple laser cutting techniques produced graphic shapes, which were then repeatedly stacked to express musical rhythms.
Due to COVID-19, the exhibition was held online and in an external collaborative space, Lost Seongsu. The online exhibition remains accessible on the Culture Station Seoul website.
All photographs were taken by photographer Sooin Jang.
