Spot Light the Music and Touch the Light, IDSA

Lee Sukwoo's graduation project combines music and lighting in an innovative CD player and light fixture. The light turns on when a CD is inserted, and the user interface is integrated into the light that illuminates the surface, allowing users to simply touch the light to play music.
This work earned Lee the honor of being the first Korean university student to receive a Gold Award at the US IDEA Awards. Through a deep exploration of the physical properties of music and light, he merged these two elements to introduce a novel usability. This hybrid interface redefined the user experience, enabling an emotional interaction through devices and technology.
