Protected by Layer. Accidentally found enlarged photographs of agar’s seeds while skimming through a book, inspired by them, then I began this project. The seed itself has a well designed structure because it should keep its life for a long time.
Through Sketch and reference material experiment for the relation between the outer, layered shell and the inner contents to protect them and in the process of finding the meaning of the experiment, It all started to come together. 3D CAD specific format was fixed, and it evolved into the organized structure by wrapping, folding, and cutting.
Stacking 3D printing techniques brought a structure with tension. Not only permeable, and lightweights but also it shall be flexible. In the Flexible structure, a light source corresponding to the contents was added.
