This is a series of light fixture designs inspired by a simple production process that can be created by folding or bending metal. In fact, I did not have the budget to produce the lighting at the time, so I decided to use the least amount of processing steps and materials to maximize the effect. Eventually, I decided that bending or machining the steel plate would be more effective than making it in 3D.
The only way to do 2D machining is to experiment with small pieces of paper. This project began with the similar properties between metal and paper, and we first developed identification, considering the optimal shape which can be made from paper. The actual scale model and the finished product were almost the same.
