The "Sulhwa Exhibition," which has been held by Amorepacific since 2006, is an event that reviews the value of traditional crafts and art, and promotes Korean traditional beauty through the production and exhibition of works by traditional and contemporary artists. In 2012, Onggi which has been used in a wide variety of applications, but has not been spotlighted was the theme.
We thought that if we could apply the clay for Onggi pottery, which has the properties of being airy but waterproof, to exterior and interior materials. And "Réspire" showcased at the 2012 Sulhwa Exhibition showed the potential for the new material.
We proposed "Neo Skin," a new interior and exterior material made with the layered baked clay pieces like tiles.
