After graduating from Hongik University with a degree in Industrial Design, Sukwoo Lee started his career as a graphic and product designer in Korea and went to the U.S. to work as an industrial designer. From 2008 to 2011, he was a global creative lead at Google Motorola. In 2011, he set up the industrial design office SWNA and established its own object brand, Liberal Office. He was selected as the Next Generation Design Leader of the Ministry of Economy from 2006 to 2007, Next Generation Leader by Forbes Korea in 2012 and 2013, Korea Today's Young Artist Award 'Commendation from Ministry of Culture in 2019, and Korea Design Award 'Commendation from Ministry of Trade in 2018. He was selected as a jury member of the German iF Awards, the Braun Awards, and the Dyson Design Awards in 2021.
